Welcome to the Applied Electrical Engineering Laboratory at KITAMI Institute of Technology

Our laboratory is working on the development of electronic devices, especially novel devices such as superconducting devices and spin devices. Conventional semiconductor devices control the charge flow of conduction electrons, but superconducting devices control the flow of Cooper pairs with zero resistance, and spin devices control the spin flow of conduction electrons. By using this feature, it is possible to realize devices with functions that were previously impossible, such as ultra-high-performance devices and quantum devices. On the other hand, there are many problems with the decives such as operating temperature, degree of integration, and cost. We are conducting research for practical application and performance improvement of the devices.
