「紅葉する老年」と云う言葉が好き。老年期、戸惑うことばかり。孫の名前がとっさに出てこない！愛用するお店の名前も失念！探し物で、部屋に入ったら、目的を失念！と、悩ましいこの頃なのであります。一方、巷では、「人生１００歳時代」と言うフレーズを耳にします。「そんな事は学校では教わりませんでした」などと、愚痴めいたことを言っても仕方がない・・・・。後２６年でそこに到達してしまう！店で立ち働いていると、「よく頑張ってますねぇ！」と、人様に褒められる事もある。こういう時は、気分爽快、元気が出るのであります。これはそんな老輩の日々を綴るものです。

| ２０１８年１月２５日（木）晴、寒 朝より晴れ。TVで頻りに、今年最大の寒波だと報。東京の最低気温は－４度であった。日中も最高気温は４度だと言う。陽射しを浴び読書をしながら、「よおし！それでは、其の寒波を体験してみようではないか！」と思い立ち、自転車に乗り、佐野市の森田屋を目指す。渡良瀬川橋上に至り、堤を東行。西風を受けて快適に走れる。森田屋を出たのは２時であった。店に忘れ物をしたことを思い出し、店に向かう。西風頻りに吹き、極めて寒。しかし、しでに、店まで１４キロの地点まで来てしまったのであるから、このまま進む他に道はないのだ・・・・。熱線入りの手袋をはめている手も寒さでかじかんできた。感覚もなくなっている。さらに、寒風を受ける。去年も冬に自転車で飛駒に通勤していたが、こんな寒さの経験はない。４時、目出度く店に到着。尿意を模様して、庭の奥に駆け込み、手袋を外して、チャックを下そうと思ったが、手がかじかんでいるので、指先が効かない！仕方がないので、ズボンのベルトを外して、ズボンを尻まで下し、ようやく用を足す事が出来た次第・・・・。 It is sunny from the morning.
