Thank you very much for having Masako and me as guests in your home.

All my delegation members had a very, very enjoyable visit to Naoetsu. We had a wonderful time because everyone in Naoetsu was just like both of you. You were so kind and generous, and you made us feel very welcome in your home.

I hope that our visit was only the first to Naoetsu by people from Molong. We are telling many people about our enjoyable time with you.

Shoichi, thank you very much for coming to Nagaoka with us and organizing our lunch. Yesterday I was wearing the cap you gave me (Nagano Olympics) in the photography shop. The shopkeeper said "What a lovely cap" 

Yoko, thank you for preparing so much food that I enjoy eating, and for washing my clothes.

Again, thank you both for your lovely and sincere friendship and I look
forward to the day when we meet again.
