Oak (Kashiwa)
These family crests (In Japanese, KAMON) are called 'Kashiwa-Mon' in JAPAN.

It is believed that the leaves of there deciduous trees were used as platters to offer food to the gods. The tree came to be revered, and families that had been admitted to the Shinto priesthood often used it for their kamon. (From 'Family Crests of Japan' ICG Muse, Inc.2001)
