Paper mulberry leaf (Kaji-no ha)
A deciduous tree of the mulberry family, the paper mulberry also had leaves that were used to offer food to the gods. They were depicted in patterns on the clothes of Shinto priests, and eventually they were established as religious crests.(Family crests of Japan/ICG Muse,Inc.2001)
