I have been changing myself by the use of Information Technology (IT), particularly the Internet. As a management consultant, I used to utilize the Internet and e-mail just like ordinary people did. Reading through the Gates book, ”Business @ The Speed Of Thought,” I noticed my mistaken recognition about the Internet and e-mail. The essence of this book is how we can be speedier, more efficient and more effective in our business through digital information technologies, particularly the Internet and e-mail. The points of the Internet and e-mail are the speed and interactive function. In the digital information society, people need the higher speeds of strategic thought and reaction to win any battles in businesses, daily lives, schools, hospitals, government services and even warfares. It’s just possible by developing the Digital Nervous System, which enables them to strategically use the Internet, e-mail, and other digital information technologies. The Digital Nervous System means a Digital Revolution, which eliminates paper from our home and office, makes people more creative and innovative, and creates huge borderless markets. So I strongly recommend that all the people and organizations in the world develop their own Digital Nervous Systems, so that they can be speedier, more efficient and effective in their lives and businesses. The earlier they start to develop their own Digital Nervous Systems, the higher the possibility of their successes.
