General Information
Tsumago is located in the southern part of the KisoValley in NaganoPrefecture. The town used to offer various services to the
travelers on the Nakasendo Road, one of the major highways of Japan during the Tokugawa Period (1603-1867).
Daikichi is an authentic Japanese inn where you can enjoy the beautiful
seasonal sceneries and totally relax. We offer our original Japanese dinner and
breakfast with several courses; soba noodles a la Chirashi Sushi, traditional
tempura, seasonal mountain vegetables, and a glass of local wine. Both dinner
and breakfast are offered in our dining room.

All the guest rooms are traditional Japanese style
with tatami mats, a TV, and air conditioning.
For your health Daikichi is a non smoking inn. Smoking is allowed only on the
bench right outside of our entrance.
We provide various amenities such as tooth brushes, hand towels,
bath robes, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Please enjoy our bathroom
with a tub made of Japanese cypress and shower facilities. The bath is
available for your private use.
Free parking is available.

Being a traditional Japanese inn dating back to the feudal times, our rooms are very small,
and there is not much space to place large suitcases in the room.
We recommend that you send your large luggage to your next hotel,
and come to our inn with a small bag or backpack.
The staircases at Nagizo Station as well as our inn are rather difficult when you have large suitcases,
and this is also the reason why we recommend you to come with a minimum amount of your luggage.
The 6 jo (tatami mats) room is 3.54 m x 2.62 m, and the 4.5 jo (tatami mats) room is 2.62 m x 2.62 m.
