Rom.3:22 Even the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ
to all those who believe, for there is no distinction;
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
Every Christian knows these scriptures.
And once, he/she has memorized these words.
However, you should not think these as a matter of course and pass.
Who are "all"?
Yes, the people who lived in the past, those living now and also those
in the future are included.
For those in the future, future tense, they'll sin, or they are sure to
sin, is necessary, isn't it?
But, no for the Bible.
Including all the people in the past, today and in the future, it says
all have sinned.
What a non-logical and bold statement!
Why could Paul say so?
Of course, "objective we" must come on stage..
In His incarnation, Christ involved all things including all the people
in His body of flesh.
And, He began to solve all the problems in the universe.
No one could anticipate such an action of God.
Of course, in them all the people who will be born in the future were included.
And, their features and back ground were also clear.
Including the fact of having committed the sins.
But please think about this.
When Paul was writing this epistle, our Lord Jesus did already resurrect
and sit on the throne in heaven.
The "objective we" were also given life and raised up and seated
in the heavenlies.
In such instance, Paul says, all have sinned.
Why?
Because the faith and justification is necessary for the subjective we
on the earth.
Faith is the condition to take part in rich blessings that were prepared
by God.
"Now everyone, believe in Jesus.
And, receive Him.
Then, you can receive all the rich blessings that are accomplished and
prepared for you."
Saying so, Paul is recommending all of you on the earth, now.
Thus, starting from the faith, he begins to describe the blessings little by little in this letter.
We express our gratitude for our God's rich and immeasurable blessings.
A-men!
